Yes, insurance has a reality show.

In 2015, FAnews launched The Insurance Apprentice — South Africa’s answer to The Apprentice, but built entirely around the insurance industry.

The concept is simple:
Take highly competitive insurance professionals, add pressure, impossible challenges, cameras, judges, cash prizes, overseas trips, and very large egos.

Then watch what happens.

I joined the show as Head Judge in 2017 and somehow ended up becoming known as:

#JudgeDread

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping identify rising talent in the industry while occasionally making contestants deeply uncomfortable in boardroom interviews.

Honestly, it’s been great fun.
